The Aventador SV brought back one of Lamborghini's most famous badges. SV stands for Superveloce, a name worn before by the Miura SV, the Diablo SV and the Murciélago SV, and it marks the lighter, sharper version of a V12 flagship. Announced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the LP 750-4 SV raised the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 from 700 PS to 750 PS. More carbon fiber inside and out cut 50 kg, giving it about 1 hp for every 2 kg, and a revised splitter and big fixed rear wing made 180% more downforce than the standard coupe. Lamborghini limited it to 600 coupes. Production ended in July 2017, and the SV laid the groundwork for the record-setting SVJ that followed.
